Vault Grid
Mines on a 5×5 grid · every safe tile raises the multiplier · stop whenever you like
How Vault Grid works
Vault Grid is a mines game on a grid of 25 tiles. Before you start you choose how many mines are hidden, anywhere from 1 to 24, and set an XP stake between 5 and 5,000. Then you open tiles one at a time. Every safe tile raises your multiplier. You can cash out whenever you like and collect the stake times the current multiplier. If you open a mine, the round ends and the stake is lost.
This game is one of the VegasSlots Originals: built in-house, provably fair, and every win counts towards the weekly league.
The mine count is the risk dial. With a single mine, nearly every tile is safe and the multiplier creeps up slowly. With many mines, the first safe tile already pays well but each further click becomes a real gamble, because fewer safe tiles are left.
The odds, tile by tile
The multiplier after s safe picks with M mines is 0.97 × C(25,s) / C(25−M,s), floored to cents. In words: it is the true chance of surviving that many picks, with a 3% edge taken off. With three mines, one safe pick pays 1.10×, two pay 1.25× and three pay 1.43×.
Because the multiplier is the fair price of the risk you have taken, stopping after one tile or after twelve gives the same 97% long-run return. Where you stop only changes how often you win and how large the wins are.
You can see this in the multiplier table beside the grid. The multiplier after each next safe pick is listed in advance, so before every click you know exactly what you collect if you stop and what you give up if the next tile is a mine.
Provably fair
The mine positions are fixed before your first click and committed by a hash that is shown to you. Every round is settled on the server. When the round ends, the seed is revealed, and the “Verify last round” button rebuilds the board in your browser and checks that the mines were exactly where the hash said they would be.
Tips that actually matter
No pattern of clicks is safer than another. The mines were placed before you picked, so a corner is no better than the centre. What you can control is the mine count and when you stop.
- Pick a mine count you understand. Start with three or so and watch the multiplier table next to the grid. Add mines only when you are comfortable with the shorter, riskier run.
- Decide your exit before the first click. Choose a multiplier or a number of safe picks, and stop there. Deciding mid-round, with the multiplier flashing, is harder.
- Size the stake to the mine count. The more mines, the more often a round ends at the first click. A small stake lets you survive those.
- Do not treat the last round as a hint. Mine positions are drawn fresh every time, so a mine in one spot last round says nothing about this one.
How it fits the competition
Vault Grid is played with XP only. XP has no cash value and cannot be bought or withdrawn. Wins count towards the daily leaderboard and a weekly season with five leagues: Bronze from 0, Silver from 1,000, Gold from 5,000, Platinum from 15,000 and Diamond from 40,000 season XP. Promotion is live during the week.
Three daily missions are shared by everyone and reset at 00:00 UTC. Badges recognise milestones. “Minesweeper” is awarded for 10 safe tiles in a single round, and others such as “10× club” are collected across all the Originals.

Frequently asked questions
Are the mines moved while I play?
No. Their positions are fixed before the first click and committed by a hash. They cannot change during the round.
How is the multiplier calculated?
It is 0.97 × C(25,s) / C(25−M,s) for s safe picks and M mines, floored to cents. With three mines that gives 1.10×, 1.25× and 1.43× for the first three picks.
Is it better to play few mines or many?
Neither beats the 97% long-run return. Few mines give frequent small gains, many mines give rarer and larger ones.
How do I check that the board was fair?
Press “Verify last round” under the game. Your browser rebuilds the board from the revealed seed and compares it with the hash shown before your first click.
Can I turn my XP into money?
No. XP has no cash value and cannot be bought or withdrawn. The game is 18+ and the help line for your market sits under the game.
