How Neon Dice works

Neon Dice rolls a number between 0.00 and 99.99. Before the roll you set your win chance with the slider, anywhere from 2% to 95%, and choose whether the roll must land under the line or over it. The payout follows directly from the chance: 97 divided by the chance. A 49.5% chance pays ×1.96, a 10% chance pays ×9.70 and a 2% shot pays ×48.50.

This game is one of the VegasSlots Originals: built in-house, provably fair, and every win counts towards the weekly league.

The range holds 10,000 possible results, so a 2% chance means 200 of them are winners and a 95% chance means 9,500. Over and under are mirror images: they pay the same for the same chance.

A worked example with a stake of 100 XP: at a 49.5% chance a win pays 196 XP, at 10% it pays 970 XP and at 2% it pays 4,850 XP. A miss costs the stake in every case. Those payouts look very different, yet each one is balanced against its chance so that the average comes out at 97 XP back for every 100 XP staked.

Why every setting returns the same

Because the payout is always 97 divided by the chance, every setting returns 97% of stakes in the long run. The remaining 3% is the house edge, and it is the same at 2% as at 95%. A low chance gives rare, large wins. A high chance gives frequent, small ones. Only the shape of the ride changes.

Nothing about your earlier rolls changes the next one. A streak of misses does not make a hit due, and a streak of hits does not use one up.

At the other end of the slider, a 95% chance pays only about ×1.02. You win nearly every roll and gain very little from each win, so the occasional miss takes back most of what the wins built up. The slider simply lets you slide between those two extremes.

Provably fair

Every roll is settled on the server. The roll comes from the hash of a secret seed and your client seed. The hash of the seed is shown before you roll, the seed itself afterwards, and the “Verify last round” button recomputes the number in your browser.

Tips that actually matter

  • Choose a chance, not a lucky number. No spot on the line is luckier than another. Under 50 and over 50 are the same bet.
  • Pick the swing you can enjoy. A 49.5% chance pays ×1.96 and wins about half the time. A 2% chance pays ×48.50 and will leave you empty-handed most of the time. Both return 97%.
  • Do not expect a system to help. Raising the stake after a miss, or switching settings to chase a result, does not change the 97%.
  • Keep stakes small relative to your XP balance. Low chances need a lot of rolls before the average shows up.
  • Check the payout before you roll. The game shows the chance and the payout side by side, so you always know what a hit is worth.
  • Treat the Sniper badge as a rare extra. It needs a win at 5% or lower, which pays ×19.40 or more. By design that is a rare hit.
  • Try the verifier once. Seeing the number recomputed from the revealed seed is the fastest way to trust the game.

What you play for

Neon Dice is played with XP, which has no cash value and cannot be bought or withdrawn. Wins count towards the daily leaderboard and the weekly season. The leagues are Bronze from 0, Silver from 1,000, Gold from 5,000, Platinum from 15,000 and Diamond from 40,000 season XP, and promotion is instant. Three daily missions, the same for everyone, reset at 00:00 UTC.

The “Sniper” badge is for winning a roll at a chance of 5% or lower. The game is for 18+ only, and a help line is shown under it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the highest payout?

At the lowest win chance, 2%, the payout is ×48.50. Every setting uses the same rule: 97 divided by the chance.

Is “under” better than “over”?

No. For the same win chance they pay the same and return the same 97%.

Can a streak of losses make a win more likely?

No. Each roll is independent of the ones before it.

How do I check a roll was fair?

Press “Verify last round” under the game. It recomputes the roll from the revealed seed and compares it with the hash shown before the roll.

Does it cost anything to play?
